Layouts

Here at our train club, we have multiple layouts for you to come and see from club owned layouts to member owned layouts. Here is a list of our layouts to spike your interest.

Our Clubs Portable Layout

We created this layout in the late 1990's to travel to our local shows and expositions. It is HO scale with an operating turntable and transfer table. Complete with four independent lines and plenty of switching opportunities, this layout is capable of running  DC or DCC  (Digital Command Control) for more cool features including working horns and bells or operating one or more engines on the same line.

Paul Holsen's O-Gauge Layout

This O-gauge layout, themed around Wausau, Wisconsin in the 1950's, was donated to the club by the Holsen family after Paul Holsen, the man who created the layout passed away from cancer in 2015. Paul spent a great deal of time working on this layout along with the help of his several grandchildren. Many of whom several buildings on the layout have been named after. It was also featured in the January, 2015 edition of Classic Toy Trains Magazine. The layout was removed from Paul's basement in mid 2016 and was brought to our clubhouse where it has been re-assembled with new modifications we are adding to fill the extra room. It is a permanent layout featuring MTH DCS and Lionel Legacy control with remote switching as well.
