CAMPUS

Just a 5-minute walk from the main campus, you'll come upon a collection of buildings in mint green, fern green, white, and blue—the Annex Campus. The University Library, the largest library in Capiz, stands proudly on three floors, housing thousands of books in all categories. The junior high school department occupies two floors of the technology building, which provides its students with a computer laboratory, speech laboratory, science laboratory, and home economics room, allowing them to explore their curiosity in their respective fields. In addition, the JHS Filamerians would practice, play badminton, and sometimes have picnics in the quadrangle attached to the said building. The Senior High School building, which has 32 classrooms, is a recent addition to the Annex Campus. It started to accommodate high school juniors and seniors in May of 2019. On the other side, the Elementary building, which has three storeys and is connected to one of the two basketball courts on the annex site, stands proudly. The Kindergarten Building, on the other hand, is both spacious inside and out and is decorated in blue and white. The Annex Campus canteen is located in the middle of everything. The buildings on campus are all spaced reasonably apart from one another, and both trees and flora call the Annex Campus home.

STUDENT LIFE

Every Monday, students are expected to arrive on time before 6:45, as the flag ceremony will be commencing, and being late is strongly discouraged. When it's not Monday, the Filamerians begin their day with teacher-led devotionals. Tenth graders will have their own vacant time, which will serve as their library hour. During lunch time, only those with a gate pass or exit pass (which can be obtained through the school's TIC for Discipline) can exit the campus, provided that they leave the said passes with the guard stationed at the guard house. Filamerians would often hang out with their friends in a place called 'Destiny' and would often enjoy the taste of the fruit offered by the iconic Mango tree on campus. The tall and old Acacia tree who has witnessed Filamer through the years has a small 'wishing well'  on it with pennies thrown by students, each carrying hope and dreams. After their classes, most Junior High School Students devote their time to their sports or clubs at school. Students also get to showcase their talents through convocations led or hosted by an assigned grade level or section. Events like Christmas, Funfest/Intramurals, and FCUSR Week—where the highly regarded Duag Film Festival, Mr. and Ms. FCUSR, and the Battle of the Bands take place—are a few among the many to watch out for every school year at FCU. Filamerians also get to experience the Christian Emphasis Week which occur twice a year for each semester. During summer, the students immerse themselves with the summer camps initiated by the PTA.
