The purpose of the Hispanic Educators Association is to promote collaboration between the home and schools; empower families with educational information and engagement; maintain open lines of communication with Fairfax County Public Schools’ Leadership and the Hispanic Educators Association; and encourage student participation in advanced academic programs, leadership activities and school completion. We advocate for the equitable hiring, retention, and advancement of teachers in FCPS. Membership is open to all current and former Fairfax County Public School employees.

19 years of scholarships for FCPS Hispanic/Latino Students - totaling over $245,000.
Supports student leadership clubs at high schools.
Membership/representation on FCPS committees.
12 years of career events for FCPS students.
Get togethers/mixers for FCPS Hispanic/Latino educators, to provide a place of affinity.
Advocacy for our teachers to ensure equity, access to advancement, and for our voices to be at the center of decision-making processes in FCPS.
Ongoing collaboration with various organizations, including Asian Educators Association (AEA) and the Fairfax Alliance of Black School Educators (FABSE).
