Fauquier Outdoor Lab

Our 17 acre facility includes a learning lab, pond, and nature trails. Inside the lab we have a presentation room housing our small natural history collection and we are currently working on outfitting our field lab space for experiments ranging from water monitoring to microscopy to DNA biotechnology.

The Fauquier Outdoor Lab is located next to Fauquier High School. Look for the sign on Waterloo Road across from the entrance for the WARF. Once you turn into the bus lot, drive straight back, travel over the bridge, and continue up the hill to the woods. The outdoor lab is the 2nd house on your right. 

Watch out for our osage orange trees - in the Summer and Fall they may drop fruits that can damage vehicles!
