Thank you Kai, Rachel, Madeleine, Kai, Kyle, and Colette for attending the club meeting today!

General Recap:

• There will be two baking days on Wednesday the 7th and 14th (3PM - 7PM) to bake the treats for our fundraiser during all lunches in the commons on Friday, the 16th.

• The culures/countries we will be baking/representing from are France, Israel, and Egypt.

  • France: Meringues, Buche de Noel, and Croissants

  • Israel: Hamentashen and Matzo Crack

  • Egypt: Basbousa and Butter Cakes

• The choice of what to bake on what Wednesdays will depend on the longevity of the items baked.

  • 1st Baking: Butter Cookies and Basbousa

  • 2nd Baking: Buche de Noel and Meringues

• We will need volunteers to sell the baked goods on certain days.

• 3 different poster designs will be made to represent each of the groups we're representing. (Gella)

• The JVC may meet with other clubs to possibly collab.

On Tuesday the 20th of September we came up with a number of points, here is the main recap:

• Marina will get a T-shirt to decorate for the club with all the members' names.

• South America is chosen for Septembers cookie fundraiser.

• Disney Cake Pops are chosen for Octobers Homecoming fundraiser.

• Rachel will have a cookie-making day at her house on September, Thursday the 29th.

• A promotional pamphlet for South America and the fundraiser must be finished by the end of this weekend to be ready for next week.

• Members must be chosen to work at the table for fundraising.

Thank you Kai, Rachel, Addy, Rebecca, Emma, Marina, Ben, Sophia, Vie, Nicole, Ryan, Madeline, and Collete for attending the First-Ever Club Meeting!

On Tuesday the 13th of September we came up with a number of points, here is the main recap:

• Paris will be chosen as the next promotional poster.

• A TikTok account will be created for Marina to manage.

• An Instagram account was created by Ryan to manage. (Needs profile picture)

• We will attempt to secure a table at the Homecoming Festival. (Cake pops)

• The first fundraiser is planned for this month along with a possible prior meeting to plan. (Cookies)

  • Vie's sister may be able to assist.

• We will try to have a QRT meeting bimonthly. (Likely in Mrs. Barentine's homebase)

• A Google Sheet will be created to manage fundraising goals. (Marina and Ben)

  • Hershey Trip, Kennywood, Pennsylvania-Dutch

• Our blackboard will be used to promote the Cultural Fusion class.

• Meetings are planned to be bimonthly and fundraisers monthly.

• Ryan will manage the club's Instagram account.

• We will attempt to secure a table for the Telethon.

• November's theme is Spain.

• December's theme is different holidays across the world.

• Colette's Cricket can print our logo for stickers with treats.

• Marina will receive and decorate 10 shirts for the club.
