Stewardship of Our Church

The theme of the FCCPA 2019-2020 Stewardship Campaign is For it is in giving that we receive! We have received much from our wonderful church community, and by giving back we can help our church community continue to thrive.

We invite you to make your pledge or expected gift today to support your church for the coming year. Over the past couple of months our church leadership has worked diligently to develop a budget that is reasonable, works towards repaying our debt, and maintains our excellent programming and outreach for all ages and diverse interests. The proposed budget includes a small increase in salaries and a small decrease in our overall operating expenses. We ask all who are able to consider a 4% increase in your pledge for this year.

All around us we see signs of spring. Despite a world of turmoil, we find joy and comfort in a welcoming community of faith. Around us we witness the bloom of creativity – whether it is the new butterfly garden; the debut of another amazing musical written by Dave and Kristin Howell with music by Joe Guthrie; a myriad of Pick-A-Parties; the men’s and women’s retreats and other creative education efforts; the family movie night; or more. Our facility continues to be a place that allows us to renew our purpose and potential as an open and affirming community of faith and service.

As we begin our stewardship campaign, we ask you to reflect on what you want our church to be and how you will support these efforts with your time, talent, and treasure. A summarized 2019-2020 budget asking budget, as well a summary of the income, expense, and giving trends, can be found elsewhere on this website. We encourage you to participate in the life of your church as you are able through both financial support and volunteer activities. Remember that your gifts are kept confidential and our foremost goal is 100% participation.

Thank you for being part of building the joyful community of the First Congregational Church of Palo Alto.
