First Impressions works to ensure safe, nurturing, and engaging early learning environments are a choice for all of Routt County’s young children. This helpful guide has a variety of important, updated documents you may need during your Family Child Care Home journey. It is meant to be a user’s manual to help you accomplish all you need to do and know to start running your program.

First Impressions host monthly meetings with all child care providers. This is a great opportunity to learn about funding available, updates and more. We meet the second Tuesday of every month from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. Virtual and in person options are available. Contact Pamela to be added to the list.

The CDA is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education and helps professionals advance their careers. Scholarships are available for both new CDA candidates and renewal candidates.
Programs that increase their Colorado Shines quality rating from a Level 1 to a Level 2 or from a Level 2 to Level 3-5 can apply for this bonus payment.
Who is First Impressions of Routt County?
First Impressions serves as the hub for all early childhood resources. In strengthening and streamlining all early childhood services, families with young children are connected to the resources they need to ensure all children are valued, healthy, and thriving.
Routt County’s Early Childhood Council and the program, First Impressions of Routt County, was formed in March 1997 after extensive community forums and needs assessments.
