Did you know that travel soccer is one of the most expensive sports available to kids today?
Did you know that many athletes (because of a lack of monetary resources) will avoid soccer?
Did you know that many parents feel they need to spend thousands of dollars a year to justify to themselves that their child’s soccer experience is exclusive or somehow superior?
Based on current research and a deep understanding of the controversial pay-to-play model of modern athletics, we’ve adopted a different attitude here at F.C. Eclipse. Working closely with our team treasurer, Mike Broccio, he and I have worked hard to find long-term sponsorships that significantly off-set our team fees. We have been extremely successful. In fact, our team fees are the cheapest in the area. In this way, all of our players have access to all of our year-round training opportunities, all of our tournaments, and all team gear. No one is left out and no one is left behind.
This financial model is simple, sustainable, and successful. It supports all of our team’s endeavors and does not compromise the quality of coaching, our boys’ experiences, or the team’s success. This website is a testament to the team’s quality, our culture, and this progressive financial model.
I ask you this final question: Why would you pay more for something that can be afforded more cheaply when you do not have to compromise quality?
