The F-BTS Laboratory at Chung-Ang University is seeking motivated graduate students (ONLY M.S. and/or Ph.D. levels, NOT Post-doc) to join our interdisciplinary research team for upcoming Spring, 2026. Our group focuses on cutting-edge studies in electrochemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, and materials science with applications in biosensors/biochip and POC.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about conducting independent research while collaborating in a dynamic team environment. Research areas include but are not limited to:
· Bio-inspired electrochemical sensors and diagnostic platforms
· Nanomaterials and hybrid material design for energy and biomedical applications
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, food science and technology, materials science, or a related discipline. Previous experience with electrochemical experiments, materials synthesis, or biochemical/biophysical techniques is preferred but not required.
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit the following documents: (1) a CV, (2) academic transcripts (at least top 20% in academic record), and (3) a brief statement of research interests. Application materials and inquiries should be sent to Prof. Jong Pil Park via only email (jppark@cau.ac.kr) until 05 October, 2025.
We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher with experience in stimuli-responsive organic, inorganic or hybrid nanomaterials, for example, thermo-responsive, ligh-responsive or pH-responsive). The candidate will work on a NRF project that is part of a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary team that is focused on the development of functional materials for cold chain using a variety of techniques.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, chemistry, material science/engineering or a related field. Experience in nanochemistry, polymer/nanoparticle synthesis is highly required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are expected. The candidate will be advised by Dr. Jong Pil Park in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Chung-Ang University. To apply, please send a curriculum vitae and the names of three references via email to: Dr. Jong Pil Park, jppark@cau.ac.kr
