The 2021 race for school committee this fall will have a significant hand in shaping Melrose during this critical time of growth and change. It is important that we elect committee members who reflect our values and uphold commitments to justice.
On Tuesday, September 28th at 7pm, 3 local organizations - the Melrose Racial Justice Community Coalition, White People Challenging Racism, and Fighting for Black Lives in Our Neighborhood - held a virtual candidate forum on the topic of racial justice. This forum was an opportunity to learn more about how each candidate is thinking about issues of racial justice in our school system and city more broadly.
