A Message from the Pastor:
What is Expected of Church Members
Matthew 16:18 – upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it.
Jesus has already laid the foundation for the church and He has given us everything
that we will need to keep the church strong. What will we need to keep the church
strong? FAITH! It all starts with Faith!
For us to be the church that Jesus envisions, it will take faith, effort and the support of
each and every member to make this happen. The church is not a lone operation where
everyone does their own thing, but rather it is an inclusive entity that needs all hands
and shoulders on the gospel plow.
Below are some examples of what is expected of each member as our church strives to
become ALL that God is calling us to become.
As Pastor, I believe that each member must believe in God and believe that Jesus is the
son of God who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, was
crucified, dead and buried and rose on the third day. Each member should also pray for
the Pastor and the leadership of the church, and do the following:
Faithfully support our church
Spiritually support our church
Prayerfully support our church
Financially support our church
Lend your time and talent to support our church
Have a desire for self-growth, and be supportive in helping others to grow
because we all benefit when the church grows together.
Refuse to be a part in anything that will hinder God’s work. Being divisive and
distracted from the goals and vision of the house.
Follow the golden rule: “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
Be true to who you are, then you can be true to God, and then He will help you
be true to others.
Love your church, be proud of your church, work to make your church a going,
growing and glowing church for the soon coming King, Jesus the Christ.
