 Dr. Syed Faraaz Hussain completed his graduation from the renowned Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital at Parel, Mumbai.

Passionate about Ophthalmology since those budding years, he secured admission at TNMC & BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai Central to pursue the three year MS Ophthalmology training under Dr. Anjali D. Nicholson and Dr. Avinash B. Ingole.

With the tutelage of great mentors and being inspired by guest lectures by the stalwarts from the field of Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology like Dr. C. Parekh during residency years, his budding for this field evolved into life long commitment towards Child eye care and Strabismus, along with an ardent flare for teaching.

Working for serving the under-privileged during service years, he secured the scholarship from the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) to pursue the fellowship under Dr. Burten Kushner & Dr. M Struck at Madison, Wisconsin Universtiy, USA.

Committed to serving the people of his land, he returned to practice at BYL Charitable Hospital and TNMC and applied the skills learned to serve the needy as well as continued teaching residents.

With the needs of the patients in mind and the lacunae in Vitreo-retinal services in affordable setting, he further pursued a second fellowship in Vitreo - Retinal Surgery at BYL Charitable Hospital and TNMC under MUHS university, Maharashtra. 

He is currently having his own private setup at Navi Mumbai and is attached in the MGMIHS, Charitable Trust Medical College & Hospital, Kamothe.

He is committed to the eye care of patients, especially children in a holistic manner, giving patient ear and offering honest counsel. . He is passionate about teaching, offering patient care under charitable framework wherever feasible and takes an active interest in neuro-ophthalmology, vitreo-retina and paediatric ophthalmology along with medico-legal aspects.
