Ag in the Classroom

Welcome Agriculture Enthusiast!

Our mission of Agriculture in the Classroom program in Fayette County is to help students & teachers in grades K-12 get excited about agriculture and gain the knowledge needed to become agriculturally literate through engaging, relevant, Iowa Core Based STEM lessons and activities at no cost to schools or homeschool families. Our mission is accomplished by sharing real-life examples to various classrooms in the county.

Invite us into your classroom! Our FREE educational resources are designed to meet the needs of teachers. Lessons focus on core curriculum concepts in math, science and social studies. Lessons can be integrated to go along with an existing unit or to meet Iowa Core Standards.

Bring the farm into your classroom virtually through our FarmChat® program. Live or pre-recorded videos talking to the farmer as they harvest or plant their crops and more!

Two days, hands-on workshops are available to area teachers throughout the year. Recertification and graduate credit available. This is a great opportunity to learn more about agriculture through tours, speakers and making curriculum connections. This is done with the help of Iowa Ag Literacy Foundation.
