When i first bough the phone i was on BT Mobile, the WIFI calling and texting worked no problem, contract ran out and i moved to 02, the wifi calling worked fine at home and at the hotel i stay at when going offshore, but as soon as i got offshore it didnt work, thinking it was an issue with the 02 wifi calling i then moved to Vodafone. Now i've come offshore again and same issue again. WIFI calling not working. Vodafone say it is turned on, it works at home and in the hotel i stay at, but not here offshore.

The fundamental problem is that VoWiFi has never worked by default with this carrier, whereas it does if using stock with the same settings string. The workaround I found with A12 was to access IMS Settings via *#*#0702#*#*, select SIMn Provisioned, where n is the SIM in question, and then change the value for parameter VOICE_OVER_WIFI_SETTING_ENABLED from 0 to 1. This made the WiFi calling toggle appear and I could turn this feature on.

With A11 loss of cellular connectivity was detected (no signal symbol in top status bar), wifi calling icon showed up and further calls routed via wifi (e.g. symbols in phone app got that wifi icon).
With A12 signal strength shows connectivity (half of icon is filled) and wifi calling is not activated. Placing calls will end up with silence, no audio at all (due to no connection to network). WiFi icon in status bar shows full signal strength. Internet working.

Since the oreo update I have a constant notification to turn on wifi calling. After googling for a solution I have decided I do not want to turn it on and accept the permissions in order to turn the notification off. Is there another way?
I have had two Verizon reps try to rid me of this bothersome notification. It is still there, albeit smaller. I have tried choosing it and cancelling and that does not work. I have tried going to apps/wifi calling but I don't have wifi calling in my apps. I looked into the pull down apps and it doesn't have an icon there. I have the possibility of needing it, but I don't want it and it has messed up calls within my home, making me retreat back to the kitchen to be able to make a call.
