The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has been urging the public to be prepared for earthquakes, which are unpredictable and can occur at any time.
The following are some critical steps to take before, during, and after an earthquake:
▝ Stay away from trees, powerlines, posts, and concrete structures
▝ Move away from steep slopes which may be affected by landslides
▝ If you’re near the shore and feel an earthquake, especially if it’s too strong, move quickly to higher grounds. Tsunamis might follow

An earthquake can strike the entire Taguig without warning. It may appear impossible to plan for something so unpredictability. However, by taking some minor precautions and knowing how to respond, you may be able to keep yourself and your family safe during an earthquake.
