Hello! I am Fatima Nawmi. I am a graduate student at University of California, Riverside. I am pursuing a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. My area of research is Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. I work under the supervision of the amazing Dr. Stefano Lonardi.

I graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with a bachelorette in Computer Science and Engineering, and I also served as an adjunct lecturer here.

During my undergraduate studies I have worked with Single Cell Spatial Transcriptomics technology to identify Cell-cell communication and cell non-autonomous gene regulation.

I am looking to broaden my horizon in the vast research field of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. I am very interested in building tools for easier analysis of biological data. Trying to understand different aspects of biology using my computer science knowledge and puting those understandings to beneficial use, is something that drives me.
