SAMPLE DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY & Flight Arrival/Departure Schedule (May change slightly)

† Fatima Pilgrimage †

Day 1: Depart from home airport

Make your way to your hometown airport where you will board your overnight flight to Lisbon, Portugal.

Day 2: Arrive Lisbon - Sintra - Santarem - Fatima

Upon arrival in Lisbon you will find your luggage and exit the baggage claim into the arrivals hall where you will be greeted by tour leader and/or tour guide and/or driver and taken to Fatima for 2 nights stay.

Sight-seeing & excursion tours, Sintra-Santarem-Fatima.

Excursion tours to Sintra-Santarem-Fatima 2hr drive and arrive Fatima for lunch. Sight-seeing drive through Lisbon city en-route to Sintra-Santarem-Fatima. We make brief stops for photos at Quinta da Reagaleira, 4 Palaces, Moorish Castle, the Convent. We will continue to the Church of St. Stephen/Church of the Holy Miracle @ Santarem, home of 13th century Eucharistic miracle based on a woman with an unfaithful husband who was desperate to save her marriage. Finally drive to Fatima, one of the world’s biggest Marian Shrine pilgrimage sites and a UNESCO world heritage site.

We begin our tour of Fatima, where we will experience the beauty of this spiritual town. We will see the Basilica, the site of Francesco and Jacinta's graves, the Hamlet of Aljustrel, where the children lived, and Valinhos, the site of Our Lady's appearance after the children's return from prison. Experience Christ's love as you walk and follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Sacra (The Sacred Way) culminating in the Chapel of Calvary, which overlooks all of Fatima. Our Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to three simple shepherd children and exhorted mankind to pray for world peace.

Join your prayers with those of pilgrims from around the world as you pray for the sick, drink water from the miraculous well, attend Mass at Chapel of Apparitions and the blessing of the sick, and participate in nightly candlelight processions requested by Our Lady. We have time for private devotions, a quiet reflections and prayers.

In the evening is when we gather for the Heavenly Queen of Peace, in order to transmit divine help and the promise of sure hope for peace, appeared here. Many faithful have had recourse for Her help and, in their various perils, have looked for Her protection … and found it. Let us also remember the special devotion and gratitude of St. John Paul II, who 35 years ago, thanked the Virgin Mary for the miraculous sparing of his life. Let us continue to remember the value of the prayer of the Holy Rosary, as well as the message, in order for us to obtain the favors and graces which the Mother of the Redeemer Herself promised the people devoted to her Immaculate Heart.

Day 3 or 4: Fatima-Batalha-Alcobaca-Nazare-Fatima

Sight-seeing & excursion tours to Batalha-Alcobaca-Nazare.

Early breakfast at hotel and depart Fatima to Batalha-Alcobaca-Nazare. We spend this morning at the beautiful city of Alcobaca, visiting another Monastery containing the tomb of King Pedro 1 of Portugal and his murdered mistress Ines de castro with the inscription ‘…. until the end of the world…’. From here we proceed to Nazare-Sitio, have lunch at Nazare and return back to Fatima.

Day 4 or 5: Fatima - Lisbon

After early breakfast at hotel, we meet our driver and you will be escorted to the vehicle which will then take you back to Lisbon for city walking tours. We will visit the Cathedral, St Jerome's Monastery, St Anthony's Church (the patron saint of lost objects), Belem Quarter, the Belem Tower, 25 April Bridge, St George Castle, and Discoveries Monument. Our walk will also take us through the Basilica of the Star, Rossio Square, Commerce Square and Marquee of Pomba Square. Tapas supper and overnight in Lisbon.

Day 5 or 6: Depart Lisbon [LIS] Airport - Home

After breakfast, we transit to the airport for departure flight back home.
