Dr. Fatick Nath is an Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering in the School of Engineering at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), Laredo, TX. Prior joining to TAMIU, he completed his PhD degree in petroleum systems engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He started his career with Chevron in 2007 as an associate petroleum engineer and worked there from 2007 to 2011. Nath next served as an assistant professor in the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, from 2011 to 2014.
His research interests include hydraulic fracturing, reservoir geomechanics, and application of the optical method in characterizing complex fracturing. Nath is the author of several conference and journal papers related to the characterization of complex fracturing. He holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, as well as a master’s degree in natural-gas engineering from Texas A&M University.
