SBEA 2148 | < YEAR 2 DESIGN 4 >
In this Design 4 course, students are required to design an environmentally friendly building design. The design process uses alternative design processes using environmental strategies such as how to lower the heat gain in the building, and allowing wind flow and others.
Students are encourage to use Velux (daylighting) and Autodesk CFD (wind speed) to see the daylight and wind factors that pass through the builing.
The users of this building will be from 32 to 64 persons, where the floor count of the structure is about 2 to 4 storey building. The site is located within the empty lands of Medini along Jalan Medini Sentral 6, nearby Raffles University Iskandar (RUI). The building typology is a research and training centre.
