Local Storage: Any app preferences, recent scans, or history are saved locally on your device's internal storage. This data remains on your physical device and is never uploaded to an external database.
Device & Usage Data: The App does not collect personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or phone number).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the permissions requested on your device strictly to:
Operate the core functionality of the App (scanning and displaying nutritional data).
Maintain your local settings and scan history on your device.
3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
No Data Sales or Transfers: We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer any personal data or camera feeds to third parties.
Third-Party Libraries: If the App utilizes standard platform frameworks (such as Android system tools or local machine-learning packages) to perform image processing, all operations occur locally on your hardware.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Because all scan data and app settings are stored locally on your device:
You have complete control over your data.
You can clear all app data or delete your history at any time by going to your device's Settings > Apps > Fat Scanner > Clear Data / Clear Storage.
Uninstalling the App immediately and permanently removes all stored app data from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. The App operates as a general-purpose utility tool.
6. Your Rights & Consent
By using Fat Scanner, you consent to this Privacy Policy. You can grant or revoke camera permissions at any time through your device's system settings under Settings > Apps > Fat Scanner > Permissions.
