PRIVACY POLICY
Fasting - Intermittent Tracker
Effective Date: July 21, 2026
1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how "Fasting - Intermittent Tracker" ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. We built this App to be offline-first and privacy-respecting: there is no account, no sign-up, and no server of ours that your personal data is sent to. Please read this policy to understand what limited information is collected and how it is used.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information you enter into the App
The App lets you optionally enter a display name and a short bio for your profile, and lets you log fasting sessions, weight, water intake, calorie and step data, and saved recipes. All of this information is stored only in a local database on your device. It is never uploaded to us, because we do not operate any backend server that could receive it.
2.2 Information collected automatically by third-party services
The App uses the following third-party services, which may independently collect limited technical data as described below:
- Google AdMob (advertising): To show ads, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP address, general device information, and ad interaction data, in order to serve and measure ads and, where consented, personalize them. In the European Economic Area, the UK, and applicable US states, the App asks for your consent to this via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any ad is requested. You can change your ad privacy choices at any time from Settings -> Ad Privacy Options inside the App.
- Google Play Billing (in-app purchases): If you purchase "Fasting PRO", the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Google may collect purchase and account information necessary to process the transaction, governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Services: Standard Android/Google Play Services technical data may be collected as part of normal app distribution and operation (e.g. crash logs surfaced through the Play Console), governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
2.3 Device permissions
The App requests the following device permissions, used only for the stated purpose and never to collect data for us:
- Notifications: to show local reminders for your fasting schedule, water intake, and daily check-ins. All reminders are generated and scheduled on your device.
- Activity Recognition: to count your steps using your device's built-in step sensor for the in-app step tracker.
- Schedule Exact Alarm / Receive Boot Completed / Wake Lock: to reliably trigger your fasting reminders and auto-start your next fast at the scheduled time, including after your device restarts.
- Vibrate: notifications are silent by design and only vibrate briefly instead of playing a sound.
- Internet: required for displaying ads and processing in-app purchases through Google's services described above.
None of these permissions are used to collect location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data — the App does not request access to any of those.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Because your fasting, weight, water, calorie, and step data stay on your device, we do not use this information for anything — we simply don't have access to it. The only data that leaves your device is the limited technical data described in Section 2.2, used solely by Google to serve ads and process purchases as described above.
4. DATA STORAGE, RETENTION, AND DELETION
All personal data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. We do not retain a copy anywhere, because it is never transmitted to us. You can delete your data at any time by:
- Using "Reset Plan" (Settings) or "Reset All Data" (Profile) inside the App, or
- Uninstalling the App, which removes its local database along with it.
5. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The only sharing that occurs is the technical data automatically collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Billing as described in Section 2.2, which is necessary for those services to function and is governed by Google's own privacy practices.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.
7. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
- Ad personalization: manage your consent choices any time via Settings -> Ad Privacy Options in the App, or through your device's Google Ads Settings.
- Data deletion: reset or delete your data at any time as described in Section 4.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) or CCPA (California) regarding data processed by our third-party service providers. Since we do not hold your personal data ourselves, requests relating to Google's processing (e.g. advertising data) should be directed to Google, alongside contacting us so we can assist.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or applicable law. We will update the "Effective Date" above when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
