Hans Maag
In 2006, Hans and his son-in-law travelled by plane from Shanghai to Kashgar, a town on the former silk road. From there, by car, the journey continued through the Karakorum Mountains over the Khunjerab Pass into Pakistan. 700 km downhill, through the Hunza valley, along the Indus River, past Gilgit and Abbotabad to Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
