Hi and welcome!

I am a researcher/assistant professor in the Energy and Market Analytics section in the Department of Wind and Energy Systems at DTU.

Before joining DTU, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Mathematical Sciences Department at the University of Copenhagen and in the Economics Department at the Copenhagen Business School. I also held a position as a visiting researcher at Imperial and TU Delft. I received my MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.

My research goal is to bridge the gap between the power systems community and other disciplines such as computer science, operations research, mathematics, and economics. I am particularly interested in employing data-driven and market-oriented strategies for control, operation, coordination, and long-term planning of power systems from the perspective of system operators and individual stakeholders.

My research interests and application areas include:

Research interests:

  • Stochastic programming

  • Distributionally robust optimization

  • Prescriptive learning

  • Multi-agent reinforcement learning

  • Differential privacy

Application areas:

  • Electricity markets

  • Green AI

  • Planning and operation of PtX power plants

  • Expansion planning problems

  • Flexibility aggregation
