About Me

Dr. Farshad Badie is the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) and a Research Fellow at Global University Systems (GUS). He holds a PhD in Human-Centered Communication and Informatics from Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark, where his research centered on cognitive logic, information science, and symbolic AI in humanhuman–machine interaction systems.

His professional journey focuses on exploring and addressing complex socio-technical challenges, particularly within global higher education. As a developer of student-centered learning and knowledge-construction models, Farshad Badie is passionate about shaping future-ready learning environments. His work is dedicated to strategic learning solutions that support organisational development through intelligenthuman-awaresystems. He believes in the transformative power of Human-Centered Informatics and strives to create meaningful frameworks that enhance the synergy between humans and technology.

His research projects investigate how human beings—conceptually, logically, and cognitively—become interconnected as well as how they connect with artificial agents to share information and collaboratively construct knowledge. Generally, his research focuses on 'logic-based' and 'semantic knowledge representation' systems, with a particular emphasis on analysing human and artificial cognition. His research interests lie in the following areas:
