Our story

We are Farrish Farm...

Our farm is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our flowers are grown with the utmost love and care using sustainable practices to protect and nourish our earth. We grow heirloom flowers reminiscent of those from your Grandmother's garden and full of fragrance .

Our farm

What started as a hobby farm with a few chickens and a love of flowers has slowly blossomed into a small, thriving, family run cut flower farm.

Our flowers

Our flowers are grown without the use of chemicals/ pesticides using only organic practices and fertilizers. We grow a variety of cut flowers, perennials and herbs using the no-till method on less than an acre.

Our story

I have loved the beauty of flowers for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I loved the beautiful morning glories that rambled wildly over the fence surrounding my Grandma's vegetable garden. I still let the morning glories climb over our fences and chicken coop at the farm. When we bought our property in 1994 with the huge field out back, we couldn't wait to start landscaping and planting flowers. I am also a French teacher at a local high school and over the years of traveling in France, I have visited some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Nothing can compare to the first time one visits Giverny, the home of the French artist, Claude Monet. His gardens are wild and beautiful, and color is tucked into every inch of dirt. Over the years, my love of France and flowers grew and blossomed, until the perfect moment in my life in 2017 when I had the chance to make my dream a reality by starting this little flower farm. It truly is a family farm with me, my husband and 2 boys working together to make it all happen. I love it all-the dreaming, the planning, the growing and watching customers light up as we put a bouquet of our flowers into their hands. We are in our 5th year of cut flower production, and we can't believe the amazing response and support we have received from our community. We love providing fresh, locally and organically grown flowers to our customers. Come say hi and grab a bouquet at the farm stand. We can't wait to meet you!
