Farrah Nekui

Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics with a specialization in industrial organization from Northeastern University. Upon my graduation, I started working as a research scientist in machine learning at Meta. However, recently, I have been impacted by the layoffs at Meta and currently looking for new opportunities.

During my Ph.D. program, I worked as an instructor and teaching/research assistant at Northeastern University. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with professors from the economics, sociology, and health sciences departments. Besides the roles I held at Northeastern, I also worked as a venture capital associate at Vestigo Ventures, where I developed a machine learning application to identify viral financial technology startups.

My research interests include industrial organization, health economics, labor economics, and public policy. My current research concentrates on new product introduction and competition within the airline industry.

Prior to joining Northeastern's Ph.D. program, I earned my Master's degree in Economics from Northeastern University and Bachelor's degree from Allameh Tabatabaei University.
