Series: Subjective Reality

This series came out of my head during the summer and election season of 2024—a time when everyone seemed to be navigating different maps of the same world. The more I watched, the clearer it felt: we each live in our own version of reality. We talk about truth like it’s a fixed point, but people respond to the same moment in wildly different ways. It made me wonder if reality is less of a shared experience and more of a loosely agreed-upon illusion.

So, what now? Do we all try to hit the little recenter button on society’s GPS? Or do we accept that we’re driving through different landscapes altogether? Personally, I’ve decided to stop recalculating and start trusting the weird little compass in my head.

These drawings are me following that internal signal. Will it save my sanity? Wreck it? No idea. But it was fun to find out.
