About:
Farnaz Safdarian is currently a senior research engineer (promoted from postdoc) at Texas A&M University. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a background in computer science at Louisiana State University. She earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and Shahid Beheshti University, Iran, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. She has more than ten years of experience in research, involved in several national projects, and published several papers and books. She has working experience in the power industry as well as research and teaching. She is a goal-oriented and resourceful engineer, aspiring to find advanced solutions for modern power systems modelling and simulation, operation, planning and electricity market analysis.
