The conference will take place at the University of Maryland, College Park, in the Language Science Center.
The LSC is located on the second floor of HJ Patterson Hall, room 2130. (Once you get to Patterson, go to the second floor, and you will find signs.)
The University of Maryland (UMD) is just outside the city limits of Washington, DC, and can be easily reached from downtown DC via Metro. So it's feasible to stay in DC and attend conferences at College Park. The door to door commute from DC is 40 to 60 minutes, and it usually requires riding the Metro for 5-6 stops and walking.
The DC area is served by three airports: Washington Reagan (DCA), Washington Dulles (IAD), and Baltimore International (BWI). DCA is the most convenient airport for both College Park and Washington DC. You can reach College Park via Metro from both DCA and IAD.
If you're traveling by train, you can get into Union Station in DC, and then reach College Park via Metro (using the red and then the green line). Alternatively, you can get off at the New Carrollton station and take an Uber/Lyft.
College Park has a few hotels. The two options we recommend are the Hotel at UMD and the College Park Marriott. The area around campus is nicer; the city gets more suburban and less walkable as you get far from campus.
If you stay in Washington DC, the most convenient areas are Adams Morgan, U street, and Dupont Circle. These areas have plenty of accommodation options, including Airbnbs. You can get to College Park by taking the green line at the U street stop.
