Farm-Able Project Goals

 The main goals of the Farm-Able Livelihoods Project for Persons with Disabilities are to 

Empower and strengthen the capacity of young persons with disabilities to grow their own food and 

 Increase participation of persons with disabilities in the agrifood sector

 Project Commence Date: 11th November 2022                                   End Date: 31st August 2023

 Farm-Able Project Activities

The Farm-Able Project will consist of two main activities:

The students and instructional staff for agriculture at the Challenor Creative Arts & Learning Centre will be trained on how to install and maintain an aquaponic system. They will also be expanding their small rabbitry and receive training on proper nutrition and care for their rabbits. 

The Ann Hill school will also be working with aquaponics.   

The Derek Smith School & Vocational Centre will receive training in poultry framing and their students will learn how to manage both layers and broilers.
