Starting with the obvious, I love video games. I’ve always been drawn to open-worlds, RPGs and some FPS games that just scratch the competitive itch in me. Although, anything with a narrative has always grabbed me. Nothing is stuck with me more over the years than both “Red Dead Redemption”, as well as its prequel, and “Skyrim”. The grandeur of their worlds, the detail in their design and every story they lead you on will always be dear to me.
My love for video games, in my early teens, led me to Tabletop Role Playing Games, specifically D&D. I have loved playing and running games of D&D and it has allowed me to discover my skill for narrative design.
I also love reading, mostly sci-fi/ fantasy but I do enjoy venturing beyond my comfort zone. My favourite book of 2023 was a toss-up between “This is How You Lose a Time War” (By Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone) and “Babel” (by R.F Kuang). El-Mohtar and Gladstone’s take on the classic trope of forbidden lovers changed the way I viewed structure and genre formulas, and “Babel” simply grabbed me and never let go.
Finally, I have always been into Sports and Fitness. As I stated above, I am awfully competitive and ambitious. I started playing football at the age of 12 and by age 16 I was captain of two clubs and the school team. I am extremely driven when motivated and always work harder than everyone around me. My love of football and other sports has developed into an analytical and avid interest in tactical development of sports, health and fitness advancements and general "back of house" considerations such as commerialisation, psychology, marketting and legality.
