ABOUT US

We are Molly Bray and Derek Kustanbauter. We met at the Italian Culinary Institute in Calabria, Southern Italy and fell in love with all things Italian.

Now, we're bringing our knowledge and passion for Italian food to you in your own home, or home away from home!

One of the most important things we learnt in Italy, is the importance of the ingredients. We try to use the highest quality locally sourced seasonal ingredients to create our delicious dishes. Being in Charleston, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to vegetables and seafood in particular. You will notice most of our menus have a heavy focus on these for that reason.

Not only did we fall in love with all things Italian, but Calabria is also where we fell in love with each other! Molly is originally from the UK, and Derek from Pennsylvania. We got married 18 months after leaving culinary school and relocated to the US.

Derek is an experienced chef, having working in busy and high-end restaurants, including Minero and Harold's Cabin in Charleston. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to food which stretches far beyond the Italian cuisine!

Molly comes from an Event Management background originally, but after delving head first into the world of food, there was no looking back! She has a particular focus on desserts and pastries.
