• Drive to Grand Canyon Village

Mather Point:

• Said to be the BEST views on the south rim

• Morning sunrise spot

• VERY popular, get there earlier!

Yavapai Geology Museum:

• 8 AM - 6 PM

• Free with NPS park pass

• The Yavapai Geology Museum provides an educational experience on the canyons rock layers, with spectacular views & information

• Should Take 1hr at the Museum 

Grand Canyon Visitor Center:

• 9 AM - 5 PM 

• Park store, Junior ranger, unigrid, info, etc. 

Ooh Aah Point:

• 2 MI trail (round trip) 

• Goes under the canyon rim! (most people don't do that!)

• South Kaibab Trailhead

Lunch:

• Maswik Food Court (variety), Maswik Pizza Pub (pizza) or just pack sandwiches (not many food options)

Other Things To Do:

• Hopi Point

• Hike a section of the paved south rim trail

• Yaki point

• Mohave Point
