Giovanna Castellano is currently member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence society, the EUSFLAT society and the INDAM-GNCS society. She is also member of the Machine Intelligence Research Labs.

Fabio Bellavia (University of Palermo, Italy)

Fabio Bellavia received his PhD degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Palermo, Italy, in 2011. His research interests include computer vision and image processing, and in particular local image detectors and descriptors, image matching, 3D reconstruction, image mosaicing and color correction. From 2012 to 2019 he joined the CVG Lab of the University of Florence, Italy, where he worked on computer vision methods for AUV, forensic science and cultural heritage. Since 2019 he is a research associate at the University of Palermo, working on new computer vision methods for cultural heritage. He has co-authored several articles appeared in both international journals and conferences, such as IEEE TPAMI, IJCV and IEEE TIP. He serves as reviewer for many international journals and is part of the program committee of several international conferences. He was among the organizers of the WISW contest held at CAIP2019 and he is currently guest co-editor of the special issue on "Local Image Descriptors in Computer Vision" of IET Computer Vision.
