Mason Core Course - MIS 303: Introduction to Business Information Systems (3 credits)
Introduces the fundamental concepts of Management Information Systems (MIS) and their role in supporting data-driven decision making in organizations. The course emphasizes practical applications of Excel and relational databases to collect, manage, analyze, and apply data for business problem solving. Students gain hands-on experience in building and using spreadsheet models and database applications to support managerial analysis and operational decisions.
