Families are always welcome to come to campus simply to check in with their child, support them during the school day, meet them for lunch or hang out at recess. But there are also many volunteer opportunities. Most classrooms have parent communication bulletins in the back of the room where parents can easily see specific needs and volunteer opportunities are publicized in school newsletters and in the private Facebook group.

All School Meetings (ASM): Family School holds 3-4 All School Meetings a year. When Family School was smaller, these were consensus based meetings where the community gathered to make decisions about various issues facing the school. They are currently more of a community gathering and information sharing meeting. All School Meetings begin in individual classrooms where caregivers meet with their student’s teachers in their classrooms, then there is a community dinner in the cafeteria and following that, a meeting facilitated by PPC members. The PPC sets the agenda for these meetings. This year our All-School Meetings are:
