Cub Scout Pack 319 - Chelsea, AL
Welcome to Pack 319! We are based in Chelsea, AL. We are a family pack for girls and boys kindergarten through 5th grade, offering a year round program filled with hands on learning, fun adventures, community impact and lifelong friendships.
Our Scouts build confidence and character through hiking, camping, community service, STEM actvities, outdoor skills and leadership opportunities. We welcome families from all walks of life and time commitments.
Whether your children love exploring the outdoors, making new friends, or trying something new, there is a place for them in Pack 319. We believe every Scout can grow, lead and discover what they're capable of in a supportive, family oriented environment.

Den Meetings
Den Meetings
Generally speaking, Dens meet in the middle of the month on a Saturday. The location is usually on site for whatever activity or event is planned that day, and subject to change but always reasonably local.
Participation
Participation
We know families are busy! It's okay if you miss meetings or events. Just do your best and keep your leaders informed. If your Scout falls behind on adventures, many can be completed at home. Check in with your leader so they can track progress. Participation is encouraged, but never forced, kids can always sit out and join in when they’re ready.
The Cub Scout motto is “Do Your Best” and that’s all we ask!
Uniforms
Uniforms
Scouts are encouraged to wear uniforms, especially for monthly pack meetings and formal events like parades or ceremonies where Field (“Class A”) uniforms may be requested. For a casual event, Activity (“Class B”) uniforms or any Scout-themed t-shirt is appropriate.
We also maintain a Pack Closet with donated uniform pieces available. Supplies are limited, and we kindly ask that items be returned when outgrown or no longer needed. Gently used uniforms, regardless of age, are always considered official.
Investment
Investment
We understand that cost plays a role in the activities families choose, and we believe Scouting should be accessible to all. While there is an annual registration fee ($120 in 2026) that covers national, council, and insurance costs, our Pack works hard to keep the rest of the year affordable — or even free — through fundraising. Scholarships are available for new families with financial need, and Scouts can cover their costs by participating in fundraisers like Popcorn sales.

Many Hands Make Light Work
Cub Scouting is a family experience, and your involvement, big or small, makes a difference. Whether it’s helping set up an event, bringing snacks, or shopping for a campout, every bit helps. If you're interested in a larger role, we’re always looking for new leaders and committee members to support planning, fundraising, and welcoming new families. However you choose to help is always appreciated.

Our Commitment to Safety
In Scouting, we will not compromise the safety of our youth or volunteers.
Every Scout deserves a trained leader. All registered Adult Leaders go through a mandatory criminal background check and must complete the Safegaurding Youth Training. We encourage parents and guardians to take Safeguarding Youth Training as well, which can be taken online for free. Also, Scouting America has created A Parent's Guide to Youth Protection.
We encourage all our leaders to take additional training, online and in-person, so we can provide a fun and safe program for our Cub Scouts and their families.
Annual Health and Medical Record forms are required to be completed at least once a year by all participants in any Scouting activity. Form C only needs to be completed for events longer than 72 hours (i.e. Summer Camp) and must be filled out by a physician. This includes participating family members and siblings.
