FamilyLink Home Privacy Policy
FamilyLink Home helps families stay connected through family chat, calendar, tasks, shopping lists, video messages, pickup requests and optional location sharing.
What data may be used in the app:
- Name, email address and birthday entered by the user
- Family group information and invite codes
- Messages, voice text and video messages sent between family members
- Calendar events, tasks, shopping list items and pickup requests created by users
- Optional location data, only when the user chooses to share or update location
- Subscription and purchase status from Apple
- Technical information needed for the app to work, including push notifications and diagnostics
- To create and manage user accounts
- To show family content inside the app
- To send messages and notifications between family members
- To manage calendar events, tasks, shopping lists and pickup requests
- To show optional family location sharing
- To verify Premium subscription access
- To keep the app working correctly and improve reliability
Location sharing is optional. Users choose whether to share location, and location is only updated when the user actively chooses to update it.
Photos and videos are only used when users choose to send them in the family chat.
Data is not sold and is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.
FamilyLink Home uses Apple services, Firebase and related cloud services to provide login, storage, notifications, subscription handling and app functionality.
Users can delete their account inside the app under More → My Account → Delete my account. When an account is deleted, the user profile is removed from the app database.
