Our Purpose
Our Purpose
It is a natural response to help those whom we love and care deeply for like family. Behind the eyes of every homeless person and every financially distressed person is someone’s daughter or son. As a community of mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters let us unite by giving what we can to feed, clothe, shelter, and support our family. A donation to Family Charity of Alaska provides food, clothing, and other forms of short-term emergency assistance with gift cards to families in need in Alaska.

The state of Alaska has a homeless population that continues to grow each year. Moving from the pandemic there has been a downturn affecting the economy worldwide as people lose their jobs and livelihood, it is predicted to increase rapidly. No one saw this type of financial distress to come, but some were more prepared than others. Of those people more prepared than others, a large amount naturally give to those in need but also desire to help more. Family Charity of Alaska was formed from this idea that we can and will do more to provide for those in need that have been affected by economic hardship as we would do for our own family.
Who We Serve
Who We Serve
It is not just the homeless who are being impacted by COVID-19. Those on government assistance, single parents, recently laid-off employees are in need of short-term emergency relief to remain stable and prevent the series of unfortunate events that produce homelessness through impoverished living conditions. These low- and middle-income families have basic necessities; for food, clothing, and personal items to name a few.
The homeless population have many needs as well, which is why we strive to work in conjunction with exisiting organizations to sustain our common goal of providing a continuum of support for our community. With your donation,you support the Alaskan community by enriching the lives of families who are in need of our help.
