Family Bonds came about one summer evening when my now 29-yr old daughter was only 12. It was summer break and she was bored. She asked if we could make jewelry... Not knowing anything about how to make it, only buying it, I didn't want to let her down by telling her that I didn't know where to start.
I figured that this would be a perfect way for us to "Bond," so we set off to South Haven Walmart and bought a beading kit and all the tools.
We got home that evening and started beading away. We stayed up until 3 a.m. the next morning and had made the most wonderful items we could have imagined.
Now, 17 years later, I'm still beading because one, it keeps me busy and helps me relax in the evenings and two, my younger daughter likes to bead with me as well as make other handmade items like knitted and crocheted projects. I also take custom orders. If I cannot make it for some reason, I will let you know.
Now I would like to share my passion with fellow crafters. Not looking to make myself rich, by any means, rather to help fund my hobbies and accessorize your look. ; )
With the holidays just around the corner, I will be posting more items.
