About FAMiLLY

The newly formed FAMiLLY (Financial and Actuarial Mathematics in Leeds, Liverpool, and York) network lays the groundwork for a "Northern Financial and Actuarial Mathematics Research Network." This network aims to facilitate significant research projects, international knowledge exchange programs, and doctoral colleges by leveraging pooled resources and combined expertise. It represents the initial step toward establishing a national research infrastructure supporting academic innovation in financial and actuarial mathematics in the North of England.

The FAMiLLY network focuses on advancing applied probability, stochastic processes, statistics, and data analytics, emphasising their application to model financial and actuarial risks in real-world scenarios. In the two forthcoming years, FAMiLLY will be supported by a generous INI network support for mathematical sciences grant.
