How often do you meet?

How, when and where we meet is always under discussion with members to ensure that we are meeting members' needs.

In person

We try to have in person meet ups quarterly, after school holidays when we all might have been too busy to reflect on any learnings.

Online

In lockdown we started meeting monthly for best practice updates and presentations from colleagues which demonstrated successful ways of working.

Where do you meet?

We ask members to host us for onsite visits allowing us a chance to see the provision our colleagues have and the spaces they are working with.

Our online sessions are generally held on Zoom.

What happens in your meetings?

You will hear from a couple of speakers about a particular theme, before the floor is opened up for questions.

We provide space for members to ask for help, advice or examples of best practice.

The working group curate online sessions on key areas of development such as representation, evaluation, case studies and much more.

Who can join?

Due to the physical meet ups, we have historically been a London network for anyone programming for families in a museum, gallery or heritage site.

We do welcome people from outside London to join our online sessions, and if you programme for family audiences and would like join the conversation, you are welcome to become a member.

What are the benefits of joining?

  • We are an open and friendly network.

  • We focus on supporting and upskilling all member.

  • The network is drop-in, with no obligations to attend

  • You will gain access to an archive of presentations relating to family programming and delivery both in person and virtually.
