Club members collected donations and made pet toys for the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
Our club is committed to living the 4-H pledge: I pledge my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living, for my club, my community, my country, and my world. Community services projects are an important part of our club. We try to have 3-4 projects each year. We have made a quilt for the Linus Project, cleaned up the Anacostia River while kayaking, collected coats for families in need, and made blankets for an animal shelter, just to name a few of our projects.
Club members prepare to kayak the Anacostia River and collect trash.

Club members dropped off donations followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter - and got to read bedtime stories to some of the shelter's furry and feathered residents!
