I see a lot of players that are new to collecting misc not knowing where to start when building their collection and not knowing the value of items. Here is a quick list of a few items and how to get them very easy without any exploits, lag camps or anything that would cause disruption or annoyance to others on the severs. This is a great way to start off your collection with items you can collect yourself.
Start with the easiest items which you can just pick up on the ground or craft as many times as your heart desires.
Dorsey's Diary(on ground behind Dorsey in tent under bed)
Brotherhood Recon Rifle Schematics(on shelf in Rapidan camp)
Solvent Attractant/Deterrent/Enhancer/Suppressor Canisters(Pick up the plans in Arktos pharma and then craft them at the Chemistry bench inside Arktos Pharma. Only craftable at that specific Chemistry bench)
Ceremonial Mothman Candle(In Old Crimora Mines)
Campers Lunchbox(In a Shack on a Hill North of Hillside Cavern)
Graveyard Shovel, Fuel Canister and Ion Focus Devise(In encampment North of Hillside Cavern)

The following items you will go to the point in the quest where you first receive the items in your inventory quested. Leave the server and every time you load into a new server you will have one unquested and a new quested one. Warning they will just keep adding more every load so one ones that have weight they can start to add up.

The following items can be placed in the Vox Box(Vox box is the box you get the Vox Syringer out of for the "Someone to talk to" daily quest in a abandoned house in Monongah, It will let you place quested tradable items in it.), leave the server and they will be unquested when you return. They are what is referred to as a Guarantee item. A new Quested one will be given to you in inventory again on every load so you can do this repeatedly until the end of time to get as many as you like. This easily makes them the lowest value misc items. I just throw on the ground or put in vendor for 50 caps each.

Broken Uplink(when you have two as it is tied to two quests. Only have one jump serevers till two appear) Also once you have a sizable number give to a character that is still in that quest and they can craft them in bulk into the fixed version called just Uplink

The following items you can place in the Vox box leave the server and it will be left behind unquested in the box when you return but the quest resets so you will need to go and collect the item each time first.

The following items you will need to do the quest to the point it gives you the items then go to the vox box and place the items in the box. Then you will need to go and finish the quest to completion and when you return to the vox box the items will still be there and unquested. If it is a daily quest you just have to wait till it shows up again but if it is a story quest it is one shot per character.

This works for almost every items and is very easy. Go into an expedition with a team leader that will not receive anything with up to three guys that will all grab an item. When the people grabbing items are starring at the items they want with the "Take" activator on the screen the team leader travels to somewhere outside the expedition. The moment it no longer says "In PItt" or "In Atlantic City" behind their names grab the items and when you are removed from the instance if your timing was good you will have the item unquested in your inventory. The grenade style items with a take wheel take a little more precise timing to get but are essentially the same.

For these you need a character that is to that exact point where they pick it up in the quest. They will not be able to get one but another character can join them in the instance. The character with the quest active and can see the items shows the second player exactly where it is and has them star at that point. The leader dashboards the game and the second player starts spamming the "Take" button A button for most that have not remapped their controllers. Right before you are removed from the instance you should see the item become visible to you for a second or two. If you were spamming A on it when you are removed from the instance you should have the item unquested in your inventory. Make sure not to have these items in your inventory when you have the quest active as they will questmark

Most costa business quest items as well as all the "packages for" items and some other like the strange bone
These are pretty easy but also easy to miss and not be able to get a second chance on that character.
I would practice a few times in a custom to get the hang of doing it quickly but best if you have nothing in your new tab of your pipboy. Doing it on a public will probably give you a small increase in time you have to do it as well. You will fist make sure you are in the new tab on your pip boy then go out of the pip boy and look at the item, pick it up and as quick as you can go back into your pip boy(you should still be on the new tab with the item highlighted) and hit drop on the item. If you are quick enough you will drop it before it quests(or explodes in the case of the packages for items). Once in a bag you will need to have either a character that has already finished those quests pick it up or go finish the quest and then come back and pick up the item out of your drop bag. If the character that picks it up still has the quest activate or has not even started the quest yet it will quest in their inventory or explode as with the packages for items.:)
