This fall, the Lebanon Township Museum will be celebrating our community’s historic charm with art starting with the Paint the Town Plein Air Event which invites artists to capture the beauty of local historic sites from Saturday September 17th through Saturday October 1st. Artists will then exhibit their best work at the Art Show & Silent Auction to be held on Sunday October 2nd at the Inn at Glen Gardner, 161 Main Street, Glen Gardner NJ.

Paint the Town welcomes art in most mediums. It is open to artists ages 18 & up; a Paint the Town Student Competition is open to artists ages 12-17. Participating artists will create original work in the open air at any of the designated historic locations during the allotted 15-day period and submit up to three pieces to the art show & auction. Student artists will submit a single piece of artwork. Student work will not be included in the auction.

The Art Show & Silent Auction is open to the public with food and drink available to purchase. It will be held on Sunday October 2nd at The Inn at Glen Gardner. Artists will be competing for the following prizes, donated by The Squiers Point Historians: First Prize: $500, Second Prize: $250, Third Prize: $100 & Student Prize: $100.
