When is the Fall Festival?

The community market and silent auction will be open for visitors between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Is there a rain date for this event? 

The event will be held rain or shine.

Can I bring my pets?

While we love our four-legged friends, please leave them at home for this event.

What types of goods will be sold?

We will be offering a selection of freshly baked goods, pumpkins, local honeys, arts, and other goods from local vendors. The Historic Hillsborough Commission will also put on a silent auction. If you are a vendor interested in more information about the types of goods you can bring, please see the vendor application below.

Where is the event being held?

The market will be set up on the lower front lawn of the Burwell School Historic Site. Please note that this terrain may be uneven or wet.

How much is admission?

Admission is free, and no ticket is required. Registering through the link above allows the Burwell School to keep track of numbers, but is absolutely not necessary to attend the event. Come one, come all!

Where should I park?

Parking is extremely limited at the Burwell School. The parking lot will be reserved for guests with limited mobility. We also ask guests to kindly refrain from parking on Union St in order to be respectful of our neighbors. There are several options for getting to the Fall Festival:

• Walk or ride your bike - take advantage of the walkability of Historic Hillsborough and reduce your carbon footprint!

• Park at Town Hall 

• Park in the free downtown Hillsborough parking deck - be sure to stop by the incredible restaurants and shops on Churton St on your way to Burwell!
