Diversity, equity and inclusivity (DEI) is needed in our classrooms PK-12 so that we can reach and teach every child. Unfortunately, many teachers rely on their own experiences and well-known curriculum without recognizing the implicit biases within them. Further, many educators are not aware of their own biases and the effects it has on their students. This interactive presentation leads educators through what implicit bias is and then looks at how it affects "our" knowledge, curriculum, and our actions in the classroom.
