Falcons United's mission is to create hygiene packets for students that need them. We are needed because we're helping prevent students from being bullied due to not being able to afford certain necessities.

Data states that one in three low-income families cannot afford basic necessities. This can cause students to feel a certain way because they do not have access to the necessities that they need. Providing hygienic producrs is imporant at Santee and around the communtiy because there are people that are low-income. The hygiene packets can help the students by relieving a stress that they might've had regarding not having basic hygiene necessities. 

We were able to recruit  people by posting on social media and making announcements at school. Our team held meetings every Thursday during lunch. At the meetings we discussed how we could grab the attention of people regarding our mission of creating hygiene packets. We created posters and flyers, that spread the word on the need for donations, and about our campaign. Futhermore, we went over the process on how we would be creating the packets, and what will be needed to make the packets. 

During Fall of 2023, the club was lucky to recieve donations in order to create the hygiene packets. For the winter break we gave students the hygiene bags, so that they could have basic necessities over the break. Our goal for the Spring semester is to send around 102 students home with hygiene packets. The left over products will be given to our local community. 

One thing that was surprising was the amount of students that were interested in joining the club! We were able to create awareness on the importance of having access to basic necessities. One thing that we could've done differently is to come up with other ways to receive more donations.
