Admission Requirements for the

Master of Science Degree in Accounting & Finance:

Potential candidates of M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance need to fulfill the following criteria:

1. Hold first degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Cooperative Accounting, Auditing, Banking and Insurance, Banking and Finance, Management, Business Management, Marketing Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Business Education, Business Administration, and Economics;

• Candidates from other fields can also apply given that they took first parts of Principles of Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, and Financial Management with minimum grade of C. Any candidate who does not meet any of these requirements may be referred to undergraduate program to take the courses specified above;

• Foreign applicants may produce GMAT in lieu of sitting for entrance examination;

2. Candidates must pass the entrance examination to be administered by the department of Accounting and Finance. The exam tests computational, communication and analytical skills and the subject matter; AND

3. Candidates must satisfy regulations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MoSHE) and Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA); AND

4. Candidates must satisfy the legislation of the College.

Criteria for selection of candidates of M.Sc. in AcFn:

Entrance exam* : 70%

CGPA in undergraduate courses : 20%

Relatedness to the field** : 10%

Total : 100%

*Exam contents: Subject area (40%), English language proficiency (15%) & business mathematics (15%)

**Related courses include banking and insurance/finance, business management, business education, cooperative accounting and auditing.
