In this Project 2(B) Design 3, the students are required to construct a two-storey community food court in Kulai, Johor. The building also needs to be 50% timber structure as the main materials. We also need to develop a sustainable food court design scheme for the Kulai community with socially cultural responsive architecture.
The K-3 is a Kulai Community Food court that is inspired by the three main cultures in Kulai, that is , Malay, Chinese and Indian. This food court will give a unique dining experience and open kitchens for the users to experience the different dining etiquette and cooking styles from each culture so that the users can learn each other's cultures in a building.
